Position: Mortgage Loan Officer
Location: Remote
Available Positions: 2

We're excited to announce two remote Mortgage Loan Officer positions! While these roles are primarily remote, you will be required to attend occasional staff meetings. We're looking for candidates who currently reside within the communities we serve: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, and Yolo counties.

Summary:
As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will play a key role in helping prospective mortgage applicants understand their best home loan options. You will ensure compliance with all guidelines while providing exceptional personalized service to our members. Building and maintaining strong relationships with members and internal/external partners is essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Business Development: Focus on developing and closing new business with external partners. Build relationships with local realtors to increase mortgage loan volume.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate positive relationships within the community to generate loan referrals. Coordinate and host live and web-based events to enhance brand awareness.
- Strategic Planning: Create a territory plan to define support and engagement frequency with realtors, leveraging industry data to develop effective marketing strategies.
- Sales & Originations: Sell and originate mortgage loans following company policies and regulations. Pre-qualify members for various mortgage products, explaining rates and terms clearly.
- Pipeline Management: Track and manage your loan pipeline, providing regular updates to members and ensuring timely processing and closing of loans.
- Professional Representation: Actively represent our organization in the community, enhancing branding and loan growth. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, policies, and regulations through ongoing training and communication.
- Service Excellence: Deliver high-quality service to our members while identifying opportunities to offer additional products and services based on their needs.
- Compliance: Stay informed about federal and state regulations related to lending practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.

Skills & Qualifications:

- In-depth knowledge of real estate lending criteria and regulations (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and motivate yourself to achieve goals.
- Successful business development and sales experience, with a solid understanding of our loan programs.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with industry-related software.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of your clients.

Experience & Reporting:

- Reports to the Manager of Mortgage Loan Officers.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Loan Officer, with at least 3 years of self-sourced mortgage business and a minimum of $1 million in monthly closings.

Working Conditions:

- Travel to various locations within the assigned territory is required, approximately 75% of the time, including evenings and weekends.
- Participation in a driving program may be necessary, which includes providing a driving record and proof of insurance.

This position requires registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) under the SAFE Act. Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining a good standing status with all regulatory requirements.

Compensation:
This is a commission-based position with a recoverable draw. Compensation is determined based on factors such as responsibilities, experience, and skills.
