Job Description:
Our reputable law firm in St. Louis is currently seeking a Bilingual Paralegal with proficiency in Spanish and a strong background in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Immigration law. In this role, you will play a vital part in our legal team, providing essential support to our attorneys and ensuring effective communication with Spanish-speaking clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Translate legal documents and communicate with Spanish-speaking clients to provide legal advice and guidance.
* Conduct research related to areas of expertise, including Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Immigration.
* Prepare legal documents, such as complaints, pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
* Assist attorneys in cases by organizing documents, scheduling depositions, and participating in court proceedings.
* Manage client files, ensuring documents are organized, and records are accurate.
* Utilize bilingual skills to facilitate communication with clients, witnesses, and other involved parties.
* Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
* Provide general administrative support to attorneys and legal staff as required.
Qualifications:
* Fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
* Proven experience in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Immigration law.
* Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Familiarity with legal software and research tools.
* Knowledge of relevant legal procedures and deadlines.
