Job Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and recommend the best mortgage solutions.
- Process Guidance: Assist clients through every step of the mortgage process, including pre-qualification, application, underwriting, and closing for both purchase and refinance transactions.
- Information Provision: Provide clear and comprehensive information on available loan programs and products.
- Evaluation: Assess clients' financial status and creditworthiness to determine suitable mortgage options.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other referral sources.
- Application Monitoring: Keep track of loan applications to ensure all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions.
- Client Support: Address any questions or concerns clients may have throughout the loan process.
- Team Collaboration: Work with team members to ensure smooth and efficient loan processing.
- Sales Goals: Meet or exceed sales targets and business development goals.
- Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Pipeline Management: Effectively manage your loan pipeline to ensure progress and success.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in mortgage lending or a similar role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of mortgage loan products, underwriting, and regulations.
- Track Record: Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently while managing a pipeline of loans.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with mortgage software and related tools.
- Licensing: Must be licensed as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) in the state(s) of operation.
