• This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
• The candidate will work to architect applications within an enterprise data analytics ecosystem. This includes architecture, discovery, processing, integration, storage, data science, data analytics, and machine learning, etc.

• Build and administer on premise and cloud platforms
• Lead in proof of concepts on emerging technologies and will work with developers and business partners to perform test cases leading to viable new products
• Responsible for maintaining platform reliability, data reliability and data security per AA’s enterprise requirements
• Work closely with multiple product teams to successfully design and implement solutions by removing roadblocks, cultivating relationships, and effectively communicating across Enterprise at various levels of leadership

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 7 years of applicable experience in the design/administration/ support for data analytics platforms with 2 years in cloud strategy required

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 8+ years of applicable experience in the design/administration/ support for data analytics platforms with 2+ in cloud strategy required
• Airline Industry experience will be plus

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Strong experience in large scale software & systems architecture and development
• Implemented distributed and parallel computing technologies and operating systems.advanced storage implementations like grids (MPP)and Cloud object storage architectures
• Worked on data security architecture for authentication, multi-tenancy/authorization, auditing and governance
• Strong Experience with data analytics ecosystem: data integration (ETL/ELT), data delivery, data preparation, data discovery, data processing, data storage, data science, data analytics, etc with expertise in testing strategies and tools use to ensure data quality
• Designed and developed object oriented, real time messaging and relational database management application with strong experience in Agile project management methodology and DevOps principles
• Implemented enterprise architectural standards for security, data integrity, and disaster recovery of platforms
• Worked with product teams promoting a self-governing culture and self-service automation process
• Good working knowledge performing product impact analysis, capacity planning, data retention, as well as conformance with legal, audit, and regulatory mandates
