We are seeking a skilled and professional consecutive interpreter to join our team on a remote, independent contractor basis. This role is pivotal in enabling clear communication between individuals who speak different languages, particularly during phone calls, meetings, conferences, and interviews.

As a consecutive interpreter, you will be the vital link that ensures understanding and clarity across language barriers. Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing consecutive interpretation services during various over-the-phone interactions.
- Listening attentively to the speaker in the source language and accurately conveying their message in the target language.
- Maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
- Adhering to HIPAA regulations and company protocols, as well as industry best practices.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

- At least one year of experience or 2000 hours of active interpretation (preferred).
- Proficiency in at least two languages (source and target languages).
- Proof of English language proficiency at a "technical proficiency" level on the national ILR rating or equivalent.
- A passing score on the Mock Call assessment.
- An updated resume showcasing relevant interpretation experience.
- A criminal background check in English.
- The necessary technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments (headset, stable internet, laptop).

- International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA)
- The National Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI)
- National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
