Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Entry Level Lawyer to join our dynamic team, focusing on employment law with an emphasis on discrimination cases. As part of our collaborative environment, you will receive training and mentorship to ensure you are well-prepared to handle your caseload and grow in your legal career.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing employment law cases, including litigation, counseling, and compliance matters, particularly regarding discrimination.
Conduct legal research and draft essential legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Offer sound legal advice and help develop strategies to resolve client issues effectively.
Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Participate in client meetings and contribute to case strategy discussions.
Stay informed on the latest developments in employment law.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in a jurisdiction reciprocal to Kansas and/or Missouri; Kansas and Missouri licenses preferred.
0-3 years of experience in active legal practice.
Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise legal documents.
Good judgment and analytical skills for assessing legal issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong organizational skills and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
