Job Description

CORE: is seeking a personable individual with an eye for detail, to join our Culinary Team as a  Pastry Cook

Primary Role & Responsibilities  

  • Produce a wide variety of pastries, ice-cream, chocolates, cakes and other baked goods by following established recipes
  • Prepare all a la carte and special desserts during service hours
  • Take part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
  • Maintain menu pars and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant specific minimum quantity
  • Accurately account for all items coming out of the station
  • Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
  • Accurately handle food items to minimize waste
  • Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
  • Maintain department cleanliness and organization, adhere to safe work and equipment practices, and follow all food safety, health and sanitization standards
  • Perform other duties and tasks if necessary, based on business needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as Pastry Cook, Baker or relevant role.
  • Highly motivated, focused and passionate
  • Exhibits professionalism and teamwork, great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and courteous
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow.


**Must have availability to work holidays and weekends, if necessary.
