Job Title: Mortgage Loan Officer
Location: Los Angeles, Ventura County, Santa Barbara, or San Luis Obispo, CA; Hybrid
Salary: $52,000 to $200,000 per year (plus commission)
Job Overview:
Are you a motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Officer looking to join a dynamic team? We are seeking a dedicated professional to help our clients find the perfect residential mortgage solutions. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid work model, allowing you to work from home or one of our office locations in Woodland Hills, Ventura County, Santa Barbara, or San Luis Obispo. While primarily remote, occasional travel to meet clients and attend meetings will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Prospect and connect with potential clients to offer tailored residential mortgage solutions.
- Lead Conversion: Convert inbound and outbound sales leads into successful loan applications.
- Financial Assessment: Identify clients' financial needs and recommend the best product/rate combinations.
- Sales Goals: Meet and exceed monthly sales performance goals.
Core Duties:
- Loan Processing: Originate, negotiate, and secure residential mortgage loans while providing expert counseling to applicants.
- Documentation Management: Collect and manage information and documents from applicants and other involved parties.
- Rate and Fees: Set and communicate interest rates, points, fees, and other loan-related charges.
- Application Tracking: Monitor loan application statuses and keep applicants informed throughout the process.
- Coordination: Work with internal teams to ensure smooth loan processing and closing.
- Customer Service: Address questions and resolve issues related to loan closings for applicants and real estate professionals.
- Information Distribution: Share details about loan products, prices, and services with real estate professionals.
- Meetings and Reporting: Attend meetings, prepare accurate reports, and maintain thorough loan file documentation.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support team goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in managing and negotiating loans in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with loan processing guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA) and standard loan practices.
- Market Insight: Strong understanding of the mortgage market and real estate terminology.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Location: Must be based in California.
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $52,000 to $200,000 per year, with additional commission opportunities.
