Job Description

The Branch Brewing Company is seeking passionate and knowledgeable Brewtenders to join our small and dedicated team at our nano brewery's taproom. As a Brewtender, you will play a pivotal role in creating a memorable experience for our guests by serving them our craft beers and ensuring the smooth operation of the taproom. 

Key Responsibilities:  

Customer Service:  

• Greet and engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. 
• Provide exceptional customer service by guiding patrons through our beer offerings, answering questions, and making recommendations. 
• Maintain a clean and inviting taproom environment. 

Beer Knowledge:

• Have an understanding of our beer offerings, including the ingredients and flavor profiles.
  
• Educate guests about the different beer styles and the unique characteristics of our brews. 
• Assist in the development and distribution of tasting notes and brewery information.
  

Beer Service:

• Pour and serve beers with precision, ensuring the correct glassware and temperature. 
• Monitor and control the quality of beer, including line cleanliness and ensuring that all beers are served in their best condition. 

Responsible Beverage Service:  

• Enforce responsible drinking practices and ensure that all guests are of legal drinking age. 
• Monitor the alcohol consumption of guests and intervene as necessary to maintain a safe and comfortable atmosphere. 

Events and Tours:  

• Assist with organizing and hosting brewery tours and events. 
• Participate in beer-related events and festivals as needed. 

Cleanliness and Organization:  

• Keep the taproom area, bar, and glassware clean and organized. 
• Ensure all cleaning and sanitization standards are met to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. 

Qualifications:  

• Passion for craft beer and a strong desire to share that passion with others. 
• Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
• Knowledge of beer styles, brewing processes, and craft beer industry trends. 
• Previous experience in a taproom, bar, or hospitality role is a plus. 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
• Physical ability to lift and move kegs and other brewery equipment. 

Education:  

• High school diploma or equivalent.
