Job Description

As an Executive Sous Chef, you'll join a dynamic culinary team and work closely with the Executive Chef to drive the success of our kitchen operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated and experienced culinary professional looking to take their skills to the next level.

About You:

You're a passionate foodie with a deep understanding of ingredients, techniques, and cooking methods. With a strong background in high-volume kitchens, you're ready to lead and mentor others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless coordination of all activities, including private dining events
  • Conduct daily quality checks on prep production and mise en place to ensure exceptional standards
  • Foster a culture of excellence in the kitchen by mentoring and guiding staff in preparing and cooking dishes that delight our guests
  • Develop and coach BOH employees and kitchen supervisors to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and storage to optimize efficiency and minimize waste

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: We're seeking a highly qualified candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a full-service establishment. A Culinary Arts degree is preferred, but we're also open to exceptional candidates with relevant experience.
  • Availability: You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Key Qualities:
    • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, build strong relationships, and effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
    • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift/move objects weighing 25-50 pounds.
    • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with others to create a positive, respectful work environment.
  • Must be a US citizen
