What You'll Do:

Traeger is seeking a Test Technician to join our Performance Engineering team. As the Test Technician, you will be tasked with supporting the Test Engineers with the verification and validation techniques used to guarantee our customers have an unparallel product experience, our products are safe to use, and they perform according to our Traeger Test Standards. This job will require experience in mechanical design, systems, test rigs, heat transfer, data collection and an understanding of general mechanical principles. In this role, you will work directly with the Product and Operations team to deliver grills, sub-assemblies, and other technologies which are fully verified and validated. Under the direction of the Test Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for adequately verifying and validating of our products utilizing a wide range of testing principals, ensuring the successful launch of all new Traeger products.

How You Will Help Us Win:

• Support the Test Engineers with various performance evaluations through the collection of data
• Evaluate and report failures/issues throughout the product development process
• Issue reports and recommendations based on analytics gathered across multiple platforms and teams
• Prepare test fixtures, data acquisition systems to assist with test workflow and schedules
• Test prototype grills for performance verification, temperature stability and quality improvements in complex environments
• Implement countermeasures on the products based off test findings and the team’s development needs
• Verify or validate Engineering Change Notifications (ECN’s) and communicate across our supply chain partners
• Assist Test Engineers with the creation of standard operating procedures for our suppliers and manufactures
• Set up and testing execution in accordance with ETL, CE, and SAA standards for compliance certification, globally
• Work with Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering to understand trends in the field implement solutions

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Associates degree in related field, technical school accreditation or relevant career experience
• Work with data acquisition systems and post processing software
• Understand and safely operate standard fabrication equipment
• The ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-driven work 
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience with DEWESoft DAQ systems is a plus
• Expereince with Graphtec DAQ systems is a plus
• Experience with PID systems is a plus
• Experience with simple coding functions like Matlab, Python or AI is a plus
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
• Eagerness to lead, participate, and be pro-active
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
