Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to lead the migration of our mainframe systems to AWS. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery. You'll collaborate with diverse teams, align project objectives with business goals, and proactively manage risks throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Migration Project: Take charge of the end-to-end project management of the mainframe to AWS migration, from initial planning through execution and monitoring.
Collaborate on Strategies: Work closely with technical teams to develop migration strategies and architectural frameworks that meet our operational needs.
Manage Project Plans: Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to keep the project on track.
Communicate Effectively: Regularly update stakeholders at all levels on project status, risks, and challenges, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Mitigate Risks: Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to address them.
Facilitate Meetings: Organize and lead project meetings, fostering clear communication and coordination among team members.
Ensure Best Practices: Uphold best practices in project management and AWS cloud standards to drive project success.
Engage with Partners: Collaborate with vendors and external partners to support migration efforts and seamlessly integrate solutions.
Monitor Metrics: Track and report on project metrics, utilizing data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
Foster Team Collaboration: Create a positive and innovative team environment that encourages collaboration and creative problem-solving.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Project Manager, especially in IT infrastructure projects focused on cloud migrations.
Strong understanding of mainframe systems and AWS cloud services.
Project management certifications (PMP, Agile, etc.) are a plus.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud migration tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of security and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
