Position Summary:
Summer Internship - Gardening

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have completed a minimum of 12 credits within the last year (these 12 credits may come from high school dual enrollment credits) and are currently enrolled at one of the following eight Idaho public universities or colleges (private Idaho universities or colleges do not qualify). Priority will be given to University of Idaho student applicants.

College of Eastern Idaho
North Idaho College

Must provide own transportation and have the ability to travel to multiple work sites. University will follow applicable policies if personal vehicle is used, which may include reimbursement at a pre-established rate.

Preferred Qualifications:
Completed coursework in Plant Science or other relevant subject areas.

Experience and/or interest in gardening.

Outgoing and comfortable working with the public and volunteers (youth and adults).

Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Team player and works well with others.

Enjoys working with youth of all ages.

Enjoys working in a variety of settings and environments with diverse audiences.

Experience using social media, responding to email, and communicating through UI webpages and Facebook.
