Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Student Services Coordinator. In this role, you will act as a key point of contact and support for students, facilitating communication between students and program staff, ensuring the smooth operation of educational services, and assisting with the administrative tasks that help our programs thrive. Whether on-site or remotely, your focus will be on delivering outstanding support to students, maintaining organized records, and contributing to the achievement of program goals.
Core Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Orientation: Support the recruitment and orientation process for students entering various programs.
Assessment Administration: Ensure CASAS appraisals, pre-tests, and post-tests are prepared and administered according to schedule.
Administrative Support: Communicate regularly with administrative offices and ensure that all necessary paperwork is submitted on time.
Student Support: Provide on-site and remote support to students, addressing their needs and offering assistance with any questions or concerns.
Customer Service: Greet visitors with a warm, welcoming demeanor, and answer all incoming calls with professionalism.
Technical Assistance: Help students with basic technical issues, providing guidance and troubleshooting as necessary.
Community Outreach: Serve as a liaison, representing and promoting our programs to the target community, and keeping the community informed about related activities.
Monitoring and Reporting: Assist with student recruitment, retention efforts, and attendance tracking, and report progress in weekly and monthly reports to your supervisor.
File Management: Maintain accurate and organized student records, both physical and electronic, ensuring compliance with program standards.
Collaboration: Work alongside instructors, site staff, and community partners to create a positive and productive environment for students.
Purchasing and Inventory: Oversee the purchase and distribution of materials and supplies, keeping inventory well-organized and tracking the distribution of technological devices.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with county health regulations, including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), and ensure meals are properly stored and inventory is managed to minimize waste.
Facility Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized site and provide clerical support to keep operations running smoothly.

Customer Service: Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, with a strong commitment to assisting students and community members.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Ability to help students with basic technical issues.
Tact and Discretion: Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes high-pressure environment, while maintaining a positive and approachable demeanor.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
AA degree or some college experience preferred.
At least two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish required.
Travel: Must have a valid driver's license, personal automobile insurance, and be able to travel up to 25% of the time as needed.
Physical Demands: The role involves standing, sitting, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Must have good vision and be able to work at a computer for extended periods.
Work Environment: You may be exposed to outside weather conditions and occasional electrical hazards.
