Senior Finance Analyst (Remote)

This role is ideal for someone who excels in tracking and analyzing financial performance and is eager to contribute to strategic planning efforts.

Location: Remote (Based in Modesto, CA)

Compensation: $35 - $43 per hour

What You'll Do:

- Collaborate with cross-functional FP&A teams to manage annual budgeting, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and financial review processes.
- Analyze and report on company-wide financial performance and key metrics.
- Develop a consolidated financial view to gain insights into operational results and business performance.
- Monitor capital expenditures against company budgets.
- Create and refine complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and inform business decisions.
- Assist in preparing presentations for investor and board meetings.
- Provide financial guidance to business owners through proactive research and analysis.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and tasks as needed.

What You Bring to the Table:

- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
- At least five years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling, preferably within the grocery or retail industry.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a solid understanding of financial concepts such as financial modeling, balance sheets, cash flow, NPV, IRR, ROI, etc.
- Strong ability to synthesize, present, and communicate complex information clearly.
- Working knowledge of SQL or other data management tools is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a knack for solving problems and summarizing results succinctly.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and influence across various levels of the organization.
