Location: Tampa, FL (On-site)

Job Type: Temporary/Contract – Full-time, 8 hours per day, 7 days per week

Overview:

We are seeking experienced Spanish interpreters to support disaster relief operations in partnership with FEMA in the Tampa area. This role will involve on-site consecutive interpretation services for disaster survivors, assisting in critical communication between FEMA personnel and Spanish-speaking individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish in disaster relief settings.
  
• Facilitate communication between FEMA staff and Spanish-speaking disaster survivors.
  
• Interpret in various environments, including shelters, recovery centers, and field operations.
  
• Accurately convey information with cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
  
• Adhere to FEMA guidelines and protocols for disaster relief operations.
  

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  
• Minimum of 3 years of professional consecutive interpretation experience.
  
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts, 7 days per week in an on-site setting.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  
• Experience in disaster relief or emergency services is a plus.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with FEMA operations and terminology.
