Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newham to assist with the appointment of a Senior Facilities Officer on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay : 19.95 24.83 per hour

Responsibilities:

• To assist the Building Services Manager with the smooth delivery of hard and soft services on the depot.
• To manage the inhouse building repairs and maintenance service; ensuring that job requests received are logged prioritised and completed in a timely manner.
  
• Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks i.e. minor electrical works plumbing carpentry replacing flooring replacing blinds assembling furniture etc.
  
• Procure materials tools and equipment required for inhouse repairs and maintenance.
  
• Monitor and control expenditure on inhouse repairs and refurbishments projects to ensure that expenditure remains within budget.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong experience of delivering FM hard and soft services in a similar environment.
• Experience of managing a repairs and maintenance service.
• Experience of carrying out general building maintenance including carpentry plumbing and general building repairs
• Experience of conducting site inspections and health and safety tests i.e. fire bell tests emergency lighting tests etc.
• Experience of procuring materials/tools/equipment and ensuring best value.
• Good knowledge of health and safety in relation to premises management.
• Experience of monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure.
• Experience of producing weekly work programmes and project plans.
• Experience of supervising contractors including checking job
• specifications checking method statements and risk assessments. And providing site inductions.
