The Vertex Companies, LLC (VERTEX) is a leading multidisciplinary professional services firm that provides forensic consulting, construction project advisory, compliance, and regulatory consulting to insurance carriers, sureties, law firms, real estate owners, property managers, public agencies, and commercial clients.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our team and support our newly implemented Salesforce CRM system. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the system to ensure that it meets our needs as we continue to grow (globally in the future). The Salesforce Administrator will work closely with various departments to gather requirements, provide training, and provide ongoing support to our Salesforce users.

Note – this position is scheduled to start in January 2025.

What you will be doing:

• System Administration : Manage and maintain the Salesforce platform, including user setup, profiles, roles, permissions, and security settings.
• Support and Training : Provide support and training to VERTEX employees, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient use of the platform.
• Data Management : Oversee data integrity and ensure data quality through regular audits, data cleanup, and duplicate record management.
• Reporting and Dashboards : Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to various stakeholders.
• Configuration : Provide ongoing configuration and customization support to meet business needs.
• Project Managemen t: Provide project management expertise and support for ongoing Salesforce-related projects.
• Best Practices : Stay updated on Salesforce best practices, new features, and industry trends to continuously improve our Salesforce environment.
• Acquisition Support : Assist in formatting and importing acquisition data into the existing Salesforce database.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification is required. Salesforce Cloud Consultant or other relevant Salesforce certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of database management experience, with 2 years of professional experience in a Salesforce Administrator capacity.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration and customization.
• Proficient in SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language).
• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations.
• Proficiency in data management and relational databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Previous experience managing a CRM in a Professional Service company is strongly preferred, though not required.
