Key Responsibilities:
- Business and Partner Acquisition: Actively prospect, qualify, and negotiate contracts with potential partners to drive new business.
- Target Identification: Identify and generate new partnerships from inception to execution, including contract negotiation.
- Onboarding and Training: Facilitate sales and product training for new partners to ensure they are fully equipped for success.
- Partner Management: Maintain a detailed pipeline and provide accurate weekly reports on partner activities.
- Partner Success: Engage with partners/customers as needed, attending local events and exhibitions to foster relationships.
- Revenue Achievement: Aim to achieve and exceed the revenue targets set for the role.
- Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with strategic technology partners to negotiate business terms and navigate contracts, working closely with administration, marketing, and legal teams as needed.
- Market Coordination: Coordinate and drive new business revenues from financial institutions and emerging affinity markets.
- Product Development: Identify and build product offerings that align with the needs of our clients and their customers.
- Regular Reporting: Conduct regular reviews with senior leadership, presenting partnership updates to ensure resources are allocated for success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development or a Head of Sales role.
- Previous work experience in Africa is required.
- Comprehensive experience in the full-cycle B2B sales process, including onboarding, integration, and partnership management.
- Project management experience is advantageous.
- Proven ability to close deals effectively.
- Quick learner with strong decision-making skills, able to influence across the organization.
- Thorough understanding of the FinTech and cryptocurrency landscape.
- Solid B2B sales experience, particularly in managing third-party distribution channels.
- Experience in sales and business development within the FinTech industry, specifically in selling API solutions to affinity partners.
- Ability to collaborate with product teams to enhance and promote API features.
- Ensure that existing and emerging partner solutions comply with security standards and best practices.
- Serve as a technical liaison between B2B, service engineering teams, and business teams.
- Comfortable in a culture of transparency and a non-political working environment.
