Adelphi is seeking Physical Therapists to perform duties for a school in Loiusville, Kentucky. The PT will provide support in physical development, mobility and over-all physical needs of students that are blind or have low vision.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Kentucky.
• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an educational setting or with school-aged children is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of child development, motor skills, and the impact of physical function on academic success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and the broader educational team.
• Experience in working with K-12 students.
• Experience writing Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Experience working with students with complex needs, including deaf blindness

Responsibilities:

• Provide screenings, evaluations, written reports, progress monitoring, Medicaid documentation, direct services.
• Attend Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as necessary for students. 
• Support the physical development, mobility and over-all physical needs of students that are blind or have low vision.
• Enhance students' motor skills, posture, balance, and spatial awareness, which are crucial for navigating their environment and participating in daily activities.
• Help students develop strength, coordination, and confidence, enabling them to engage more fully in academic and social experiences
