Job Description

We're looking for a talented Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll be instrumental in implementing complex Salesforce solutions that support and enhance our organizational goals. You'll collaborate closely with fellow developers, using your expertise to deliver robust, user-friendly solutions that meet both immediate and strategic objectives.

This remote position offers flexibility, with occasional travel to our office in Scottsdale, AZ.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Customize: Craft advanced Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and related technologies.
Maintain Code Quality: Follow coding standards to create well-structured, easy-to-maintain code.
Integrate Systems: Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Batch file processing, and MuleSoft.
Deploy Efficiently: Use Gearset for code deployment, managing version control through BitBucket and Git CI/CD tools.
Enhance Salesforce Metadata: Make declarative updates to metadata (like fields and objects) and configure permissions for project needs.
UI Refinements: Enhance LWC interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Participate in feature reviews, gather user feedback during UAT, and implement improvements.
Problem Solve: Address and resolve bugs, working with support teams as needed.
Stay Current: Keep up with Salesforce updates, new features, and best practices to guide and improve team processes.

Must-Have Qualifications

Technical Experience

Coding Background: At least 7+ years with a modern language or tech stack (e.g., Salesforce, .NET, Java, PHP, C++, Python, Django, Ruby).
Salesforce Expertise: Minimum 5+ years coding with Salesforce, including Apex, SOQL, LWC, and Visualforce (declarative tools like Flows and Process Builder excluded).
API Integration: Skilled in building custom code-based API integrations between Salesforce and other systems.
Advanced Techniques: Experience with asynchronous Apex (Batch, Scheduled, Queueable), transaction management, and debugging.
Development Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD (e.g., Gearset), Git fundamentals, and Agile tools like Jira.
Org-Agnostic Code: Able to write scalable, adaptable solutions applicable to any Salesforce instance.

Conceptual Skills

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand a complex codebase and apply efficient coding practices.
OOP Knowledge: Familiarity with OOP concepts (abstraction, inheritance, polymorphism) and advanced software engineering principles (e.g., Design Patterns, Dependency Injection).
Platform Understanding: In-depth knowledge of Salesforce data structures, security, and database design.

Interpersonal Skills

Team Player: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a diverse, collaborative environment.
Adaptability: Comfortable with rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Broad Experience: Coding experience outside of Salesforce.
Integration Tools: Experience with MuleSoft or other middleware/ETL tools.
Certifications: Salesforce Development Certifications (PAB, PDI, PDII).
Cloud Knowledge: Exposure to platforms like AWS, Snowflake, and Tableau.
Project Management: Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and translating business needs into actionable tasks.
Apex Frameworks: Familiarity with FFLIB - Apex Enterprise Framework and other advanced tools.
Product Knowledge: Experience with Financial Services Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Service Cloud.
