Who You Are:
The Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting the Department team in the overall marketing and promotion efforts through various stages of community projects. Performs a variety of duties to provide marketing, administrative and organizational support. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage inbound job requests from multiple properties and Marketing Director.
· Assist the Marketing Team in all aspects of planning, directing, tracking, and organizing projects in project management system.
· Communicate to marketing team and community staff project timing, status, deadline, and approvals on an ongoing basis and in a timely manner.
· Work with the Marketing team to create, proof and coordinate approvals for marketing materials that are effective and within the budgeted amount.
· Place orders for requested community marketing materials and promotional items.
· Assist with the coordination of approved ads, press releases and marketing materials.
· Manage administrative reports (e.g., social media, advertising, project status) and invoices for media and marketing materials.
· Coordinate schedules, support staff, and communicate with Executive Directors and sales team.
· Make any needed changes to marketing design materials when needed to move a project along efficiently.
· Design marketing materials such as flyers, business cards and name tags using the approved and appropriate templates and brand elements.
· Travel as necessary to provide support at various events (e.g., groundbreaking, grand openings, trade shows)
· Manage and organize marketing assets and materials in digital library ensuring relevant and updated assets are available at any time.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with time project management software preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Deadline proficient and detail orientated with a high level of organizational skill
• Self-motivated with the ability to time manage tasks, work with little supervision
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be detail and teamwork oriented.
• Must be Drug free and submit to Urinary Analysis Drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
• The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Koelsch Communities.
Uniform and Appearance Requirements:
• Professional business attire including closed-toed shoes. Must abide by Koelsch Communities dress code policy.
Position Equipment:
• This role is provided a laptop and other desk/ office supplies needed.
