What To Expect
The Tesla Energy Training Training team creates, manages, and facilitates a wide variety of educational materials that support key stakeholders across multiple product lines and business functions including Energy Storage, Charging, and Solar. The team is looking for an experienced Learning Experience Designer who will conceptualize and create engaging educational content designed to enhance the training experience of multiple teams across the Energy organization by analyzing training needs, designing solutions aligned with learning objectives, and creating instructional content that supports key performance indicators. This is a multi-faceted role where you are expected to have knowledge of the product and market for energy storage, along with great interpersonal communication. Our team is highly collaborative, creative, passionate and has a shared desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting technology and market landscape.
This position is able to sit out of Draper, Utah, or Henderson, Nevada.
What You'll Do Develop content through immersive research, collaborating regularly with engineering, technical writers, process architecture, and learner end usersDesign new material by leveraging technology and software tools and collaborate with other trade masters for complex tasks (i.e. video creation.)Document learning objectives by engaging with new products and processes, record pilot feedback, and review findings with experts/stakeholdersAudit learner experience and provide guidance on learning theory and design that aligns with company standardsQuickly develop agendas by leading with strong and consistent questioning and understanding what problems are needing to be solved
What You'll Bring 5+ years of instructional design, technical writing, training content development, or related experience, preferably in a high-tech or product-centric environmentStrong understanding of, and ability to critically apply, core concepts of training, curriculum development, adult learning theory, etc. in the creation and delivery of training content that is aligned with business needsEagerness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where objectives and responsibilities may need to quickly adapt to evolving industry needsProficiency or experience using Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Photoshop, Visio, etc. or similar content creation toolsHigh proficiency in MS Office Suite and related tools for communicating information efficientlyFriendly, clear, strong speaker with composure, approachability, and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills required with the proven ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex technical training in non-technical language
