With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Come join Intuit as a Lead Financial Analyst!

Intuit’s Consumer Group (CG) combines the power of TurboTax and Credit Karma, providing tax preparation for individuals and businesses along with a marketplace of financial products. The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Consumer Group is responsible for strategic financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of the business unit. The FP&A team plays a unique and critical role in driving business decisions and optimizing long-range financial outcomes for CG.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for developing strategies that accelerate the growth of our consumer platform and offerings, identifying new growth opportunities, and partnering with business leaders to drive successful execution. While our business has been successful in our core markets and segments, our total addressable market is still largely untapped, and we are excited about the numerous growth opportunities ahead. Responsibilities in this role include:

Development of our short and long term strategic and financial plan, with ownership of our long term financial model

Proactively identifying growth acceleration and business improvement opportunities by building a deep understanding of our business drivers, our ongoing performance, and external market dynamics

Development of growth strategies for new offerings, customer segments, and business models

Optimization of investment allocation to balance short and long-term growth objectives

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to formulate strategy, ensure stakeholder alignment, and ongoing partnership and guidance as teams test and operationalize to refine execution

Creating narratives and presentations to articulate our strategy & business trajectory to drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Intuit’s Board of Directors and investor community)

This role will mirror the work at top strategy consulting firms and investment banks, but with an emphasis on driving tangible impact in close collaboration with product and business leaders. Our team has significant exposure to senior leaders across Intuit, and takes pride in and ownership of both strategy and guiding successful business execution. This mix of strategic and operational components and our ability to directly drive long-term value offers a greater sense of achievement, career growth opportunities, and momentum than is often found in professional services.

Qualifications

As our team works closely with various partners at all levels, it is essential that the candidate be able to quickly establish rapport, credibility, and respect throughout the organization at all levels. We are looking for a creative problem solver with an ability to connect the dots between numerous sources of information, and a strong desire to drive tangible business impact. The ideal candidate is ready and able to exercise a range of classical strategy disciplines: analytical thinking, competitive / market intelligence, external benchmarking, business case development, storyboarding / narrative creation, framing, influencing, change management, and more. Part thought-partner, part influencer, and part-doer, to be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

7+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking. Experience in the technology or consumer finance industry is a plus.

A customer-first mindset and understanding of customer behavior

Strong financial acumen and understanding of portfolio dynamics and drivers, with an ability to quickly and accurately build, comprehend, and manipulate complex financial models and analyses

High degree of organization, individual initiative, intellectual curiosity, and personal accountability with a commitment to driving outcomes

A proactive can-do attitude, a self starter who is comfortable working independently and with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously

Ability to quickly synthesize qualitative and quantitative information, structure a concise and clear presentation of findings, and articulate recommendations to an executive audience

Well-rounded interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships with senior stakeholders and collaborate across with team members across varying levels; ability to influence outcomes without direct authority

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $146,500-198,500, Southern California $133,500-181,000.
