Job Description

Kelly is hiring a Lab Technician for one of our clients in Eagan, MN

• $24/hr

• 12 month contract (potential to be extended/converted based on needs and availability)

• M-F 8am-4:30pm (flexible)

• Onsite

Associate often work independently but will interact with multiple team members on a daily basis to share results and receive guidance.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests under direct supervision, controls variable conditions and observes and comments on unusual events or departures from prescribed test conditions. Recommends improvement of experimental procedures.

• Measures test results obtained and records all data accurately and concisely in a laboratory notebook. Assists higher level technical personnel in analyzing and interpreting experimental data. Makes preliminary evaluation on results and recommends acceptance or rejection.

• Assists in maintaining the productivity and organization of a busy research laboratory

• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and make recommendations for their improvement

• Participate in scientific discussion and critical thinking

• Assemble test materials and equipment to expedite test procedures

• Assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data

• Maintain clean and safe work facility

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (applied science or similar)

• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented

• Knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific terminology, and the characterization and preparation of materials used in routine and special procedures

• Must be able to establish and meet deadlines to produce independent results, while building a network of resources in the company

• Must work well with other team members, including associates from shared service

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree (chemistry, biology, or similar)

• Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously

• A high attention to detail and quality in results

• Familiarity with MS Office and statistical software preferred
