Responsibilities of the Vascular Surgeon:
✦Evaluate patient histories and schedule consultations before surgeries.
✦Liaise with other physicians and perform the relevant tests before the surgery.
✦Treat conditions related to the veins, arteries, and other blood vessels.
✦Perform surgeries to repair veins and arteries and to treat other vascular trauma.
✦Consult with physicians and refer patients to other specialists if required.
✦Determine all risks associated with the surgery and clearly outline them for the patient.
✦Address all patient concerns and answer their questions as accurately as possible.
✦Keep abreast of advancements in vascular surgery as well as the broader medical field.
✦Schedule follow-ups to monitor patients' well-being and to advise them on suitable aftercare measures and medication they might require.
