Interpreter Temporary position $18-$20/hr. On-Site West Chester, PA

Our Chester County client is seeking an Interpreter to provide intermediate administrative support and clerical duties in addition to English/Spanish interpretation for phone and clinic. This person must have strong interpretation, organization, computer and typing skills.
 
This is a part-time position. The schedule will be every 2nd Tuesdays of each month from 8 AM to 4:30 PM

A day in the life of an Interpreter

• Receptionist/customer service duties (answer phones, make outgoing calls, direct calls, greet visitors).
• Typing and data entry (prepare and distribute lists, transcription, maintain statistical data, proofreading).
• Take and transcribe meeting minutes.
• Clerical duties (fax, copy, print, etc.).
• Maintain databases, logs and spreadsheets.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail.
• Maintain and order supplies.
• Filing and indexing (locate and pull files, re-file, update and maintain records).
• Perform special projects as assigned (e.g., research, training, run errands, etc.).
• Perform other duties, tasks and office functions, as required

Requirements for the Interpreter position

• Provide Interpretation service as required for Home Visiting Nurses, Communicable Disease Clinical Programs and other activities including public information requiring Interpretation support.
• Perform written translations of CCHD educational materials and letters.
• Make phone calls to Spanish speaking clients to schedule visits or make clinic appointments, as necessary.
• Perform data entry to support Home Visiting and Communicable Disease Clinical Programs and other Program services activities, as needed.
• Provide cashier services (cash, checks, receipts, reconcile petty cash) as required.
• Perform other typing, data entry and clerical support as required, e.g. prepare, and distribute lists, transcription, maintain statistical data, proofreading, typing, filing, copying, fax processing paperwork, etc.
• Accurately maintain databases, logs and spreadsheets.
• Prepare departmental activity reports
• Provide receptionist relief or coverage for customer service duties (e.g. answer phones, make outgoing calls, direct calls, greet visitors etc.); sort and distribute incoming mail.
