Job Description

Immigration Firm in Broward County Florida is seeking an Immigration Legal Assistant/ Client Specialist. Our immigration practice is mainly focused on family immigration, consulate processing, naturalization, and asylum work. We are looking for an immigration legal assistant with 1-3 years of immigration law experience who is sharp, friendly, detail-oriented, self-starter, organized, and a multi-tasker to help our attorneys assist our clients and keep the office running smoothly. Must have good writing and communication skills. This role involves answering phones, working directly with clients, preparing legal documents, and maintaining case files. The ideal candidate is organized, and proactive, with work experience in immigration law. Fluent in Spanish, Creole, or other languages, is a plus. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Client Interaction: • Assist with client intake and communication • Schedule appointments and follow up with clients regarding their cases • Answer client inquiries and provide updates on case status Document Preparation: • Prepare and organize legal documents, including petitions, applications, and supporting evidence • Draft correspondence and legal forms as directed by the attorney • Ensure all documents are completed accurately and filed in a timely manner Case Management: • Maintain and update case files, including electronic and physical files • Track deadlines and manage case timelines • Assist in the preparation for hearings, interviews, and court appearances Administrative Support: • Perform office duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and handling mail • Coordinate with government agencies and other parties involved in cases • Manage and order office supplies as needed Research and Filing: • Conduct preliminary legal research related to immigration laws and procedures • Assist in filing documents with government agencies and tracking case progress Confidentiality: • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and case details • Follow ethical and professional standards in handling sensitive information Qualifications: • Proficient with MS Office products • Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary • Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills • Experience and knowledge with MyCase and Docketwise • Experience and knowledge with Adobe Acrobat About Company: The Broward Immigration Firm in Broward County Florida mainly focused on family immigration, consulate processing, naturalization, and asylum work.
