Job Overview: O’Malley Ice LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Mechanic (Fleet Mechanic) for multiple locations to join our team in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on our forklifts, ensuring they are safe and reliable for daily operations.
• Hydraulic Systems Expertise: Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, including lift mechanisms, steering, and brake systems, ensuring efficient operation and minimizing downtime.
• Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, and control systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the life of forklifts and equipment, reducing the likelihood of breakdowns.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and service history.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure that forklifts are serviced and ready for use as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a forklift mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of forklift hydraulic systems and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues effectively.
• Familiarity with various types of forklifts, including internal combustion and electric models.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
• Willingness to stay current with industry trends and advancements in forklift technology.
• We currently have openings at ice arenas across Anchorage: Sullivan Arena; Ben Boeke Ice Arena; Dempsey Anderson Ice Arena; Kelly Connect Ice Center (former Subway Center) .
