Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform direct patient care dialysis procedures, including initiating dialysis utilizing established access routes and unit procedures; monitoring and recording dialysis treatment parameters; terminating dialysis per protocol; assembling all related supplies and equipment for procedures; and recording and documenting patient data. Instructs new technicians in the care, use and safety of dialysis related equipment; instructs patients and family members in technical and mechanical procedures and maintenance of home dialysis equipment if required; establish, document and perform dialysis delivery system, water system and other equipment; trouble-shooting and maintenance per protocol. Performs venipuncture for the purpose of providing dialysis treatment. Administers local anesthetics, heparin, and sodium chloride solutions per unit protocol. Opening and closing duties may also be required based off of the rotation of daily tasks on the assigned day. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT).
Certified Hemodialysis Technician issued nationally and by the state of California (CHT).
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Minimum of one (1) year previous experience as a CHT.
Recent dialysis experience (within the past six months) in a chronic outpatient facility.
Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.

Annual Full Pay Range: $73,143 - $73,143 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $35.03 - $35.03
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
