Demi-Chef de Rang – Luxury Mega Yacht

The Demi-Chef de Rang’s primary responsibility is to to look after an assigned station in the restaurants, In-Residence Dining, during special events or beach BBQs, ensuring Residents and Guests are consistently provided with courteous, engaging, prompt and efficient service. This role mainly involves serving food, clearing the table, setting tables and doing proper mise-en-place for service stations. The Demi-Chef de Rang must be able to demonstrate a pleasant, courteous and outgoing personality while interacting with Residents and Guests to contribute towards creating an outstanding dining experience.
Responsibilities
Responsible for delivering and serving food in an assigned restaurant; Execute table services with perfection as per Standard Operation Procedures for all restaurants at all times while observing The World Standards of Excellence; Ensure mise-en-place of stations are ready before and after service; Check tables, chairs, floors, background music, waiter stations mise-en-place, menus and POS terminals in the restaurants prior to the service; Check that the reservations software “Avenista” and “World Central” preference tablets are synched and ready to use for service; Prepare revenue reports at the end of each shift and submit it to the Night Auditor; Participate in Chef’s daily special briefings and take necessary notes to explain the dishes to Residents and Guests accurately and professionally; Remain fully knowledgeable of all restaurants menus and preparations and their brief history; Complete side duties assigned by Management and communicate all Resident and Guest special requests and dietary requirements with the team;
Hiring Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience on a luxury cruise ship, private country club or similar, luxury hotel or resort; Diploma in Hotel Management is preferred; Outgoing personality and good sense of humor to converse with Residents and Guests; Good planning and organizational skills; Able to read, write and speak fluently in English; One additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) preferred; Outgoing personality and good sense of humor to converse with Residents and Guests;
