Job Description
Accountable for leading the Offer and Demand review process for the business unit, managing the Collaborative Sales forecast process, and delivering a consistent and aligned demand plan for the next 24 months . The Demand Planning process is fully embedded in the SIOP. Key aspect of job is to understand impact & consequences of any given demand plan on the subsequent delivering supply chain through collaborative End to End simulations.
Key Responsibilities - Statistical Forecast Baseline
- Prepare the data and clean the sales order history.
- Analyze and validate the statistical forecast baseline and trends with data scientists.
- Get the right connection to integrate the macroeconomic indicators in the statistical forecast baseline.
- Interact with marketing, finance, and LoB to understand demand forecast drivers.
- Achieve consensus for forecasts at product family level
- Understand strategic growth initiatives
- Integrate any event in the demand plan, that can be customers projects, launches or phase-out projects.
- Monitor and drive improvement in Forecast value add.
- Coordinate demand plan alignment with Marketing, Finance & LoB
- Prepare and lead the Offer and Demand Review.
- Communicate the forecast and assumptions.
- Highlight new products, and product phase-outs which are at risk and define actions to mitigate the risks. (OCP Discussions)
- Communicate main changes in forecast versus previous months
- Provide input to the Supply & Inventory Planners to assess the impact on inventory and capacity .
- Work closely with Supply & Inventory planner on simulations and impact to the rest of the Supply Chain
Competencies - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as attention to detail
- Proven ability to work in a team environment between the functions of Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing plants and Supply Chain Planning.
Qualifications/Experience - Bachelor's Degree OR 7+ years of experience in Supply Planning. Additional experience in Supply & Inventory Planning, Production Planning and Vendor Forecasting would be appreciated.
- Experience with Kinaxis, SAP is PLUS .
Monitor and drive improvement in Forecast value add, Forecast Accuracy, follow up order intake vs forecast, Root Cause Analysis for deviations, and manage corrective actions.
