PeopleShare is looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk for a metal fabricator in Newport News! This role involves accurately processing customer orders and ensuring a smooth production flow using Microsoft Excel.

Data Entry Clerk Job Details:

• Schedule: Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM
• Pay Rate: $16/hr, paid weekly!

Job Responsibilities:

• Input customer orders accurately into the system.
• Prepare Job Packets for manufacturing.
• Assist in creating Bills of Materials from drawings.
• Maintain organized records for new items and orders.
• Generate and update Excel reports for order tracking.
• Communicate with supervisors and customers to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide excellent customer service via phone and email.
• Collaborate with engineers and production supervisors.
• Assist with administrative tasks like filing and scanning.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in data entry or similar role.
• Manufacturing/sheet metal experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and typing speed of 50+ WPM.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
