GPAC, a 30+ years recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Commercial Construction industry. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Project Engineer/Project Manager with Heavy Civil (Earthworks and Excavation) experience to join our client's team.

As a Project Engineer/Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Coordinate and collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays, and communicate updates to the team and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment on the construction site
- Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and project reports
Project Engineer Job Functions:
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficient in using construction software and project management tools
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to overcome project challenges and meet deadlines
Project Engineer Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically in earthworks and excavation projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and regulations
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
