Job Description

Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR) supports the nation's second largest research program conducted among the VA Hospitals and is looking for a full-timeClinicalResearch Psychologist.The Clinical Research Psychologist will focus on advancing research in Polytrauma and support Principal Investigator, Dr. Odette Harris, with the goal of improving healthcare services and support for veterans. The position involves conducting primary qualitative research, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and integrating results with quantitative research findings. Responsibilities include leading data analysis, performing secondary research, drafting publications, and presenting findings at scientific meetings. The role also involves supporting project management, contributing to grant proposals, and helping shape new research directions to further the field of Polytrauma. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct primary (qualitative) research on Polytrauma, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; Lead data analysis and develop findings; Integrate and cross-reference results and protocols with colleagues conducting quantitative research; Conduct secondary research and literature reviews; Create drafts for publication; Present results at scientific meetings and conferences; Apply findings to the development of healthcare services and support for veterans; Providing support for project management, ensuring that research requirements, protocols, schedules, and deliverables are met; Advance research in Polytrauma by contributing to grant proposals and developing new research directions; Other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Required:D degree (or equivalent experience); 4 years or more of related experience; Must be able to communicate well with patients with mild to severe TBI; Must already be qualified and trained to deliver therapy, including CBT, for anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health symptoms; Must have experience in delivering one-on-one and group therapy to patients; Must have experience with clinical research management, design, implementation, analysis and reporting.
