The Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (HDFCCC) is seeking a Research Annotator with the background of Clinical Research Coordinator to join our human annotator team for AI Oncology research.

The Clinical Research Coordinator will play a pivotal role in annotating clinical oncology notes, pathology reports, and various documents to train and evaluate large language models. Reporting to the Dr. Madhumita Sushil, who will be computer science lead and Principal Investigator (PI), and Dr. Travis Zack, who will be the clinical lead, the CRC will work closely with the PI and/or clinical lead to ensure the smooth execution of research protocols.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Research Coordinator include review and annotation of retrospective clinical documents, who are independent in problem solving and error detection, and have keen eye to details as it relates to medical information

We seek candidates with a strong background in clinical research coordination and a keen interest in leveraging their expertise to contribute to AI oncology research. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
